Its core feature is the design of hollow cavities (e.g. round holes, square holes, or honeycomb), which is lightweight, low-cost, and weather-resistant, and is suitable for low-traffic outdoor scenarios (e.g. garden walks, decks, etc.), terraces, etc.). Compared to solid WPCs, the density of the cross-section is reduced, but the structure can still be optimized to meet the general load-bearing requirements.
Material composition and structural design
Base material
Plastic base material: high-density polyethylene (HDPE) or polyvinyl chloride (PVC) (about 50%-70%), giving waterproof and corrosion-resistant properties.
Wood fiber/vegetable fiber: wood flour, rice husk, bamboo fiber, etc. (30%-50%), providing wood touch and partial rigidity.
Additives: coupling agent (to enhance wood-plastic bonding), antioxidants, flame retardants, etc.
Structural characteristics

Wet interiors: bathrooms, kitchens (alternative to solid wood floors that are susceptible to moisture).
Landscaping projects: park pontoons, terrace decks (need to be covered with a water-resistant edge).
Limitations
Limited load-bearing capacity: wpc click flooring not suitable for high-traffic or heavy-duty locations (e.g., mall entrances, gyms), and prolonged pressure may cause cracks in the cavity.
Hardness: lack of elasticity compared to LVT flooring, general comfort for barefoot walking.
Upper limit of temperature resistance: some products may be deformed in the environment of more than 70℃, and need to avoid high-temperature direct areas.

Installation points
Substrate treatment
The ground needs to be level (error ≤ 3mm/㎡), outdoor recommended to reserve 1% slope drainage.
Reservation of expansion joints
Leave a 10-15mm gap at the edge of the wall, and add separator strips every 6 meters in the direction of the long side to prevent thermal expansion and deformation.
Edge reinforcement
Install edge cover at the end to prevent water from seeping into the hollow structure.

Daily cleaning: High-pressure water gun rinsing (outdoor) or slightly wet mop wiping (indoor), prohibit strong acid/alkaline cleaners.
Damage Repair: Local scratches can be sanded and sprayed with special repair paint, serious damage requires single piece replacement.
