These holidays hold deep cultural meaning for Chinese people, and we'd love to take a moment to share their essence with you, along with our company's holiday arrangements and sincere wishes.
A Quick Look at the Two Festivals
Mid-Autumn Festival (also known as the "Moon Festival"): Celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month, it's a festival of reunion. For Chinese families, this day is about gathering together, admiring the full moon (a symbol of completeness and unity), and enjoying mooncakes-delicate pastries with sweet fillings like lotus seed paste or red bean paste, often with a salted egg yolk in the center to represent the moon. It's a time to cherish family bonds and express wishes for happiness.
National Day: Observed on October 1st, this day marks the founding of the People's Republic of China. It's a celebration of national unity, progress, and the achievements of the country. During this time, cities are decorated with national flags, and people often take short trips with family or participate in festive activities to honor the occasion.
This year, these two festivals overlap, creating an extended holiday period-we call it a "double festival" celebration, making the occasion even more special!
